This is a preview render of a scene from my upcoming movie "A Letter To A Friend".
It's rendered at double video resolution and with a very sharp filter so i guess you won't notice much flaws when you see the movie in motion.
I try to keep most things as lowpoly as i could without getting stuff to look boxish and ugly. It's still a pretty large scene. 370000 faces
I really like the look i managed to get, surreal and moody, that's exactly what i was aiming for
very silent hill-esque.
Both the lighting and the texturing looks great on thte houses and the stuff in the background.
Since of the low-poly try the foregroud looks a little less good, but I don't really think it matters.
The background is what I focused on, and from here, it looks great!
Great atmosphere, as ~fasth said, it's very reminiscent of SH. I would LOVE to make things like this, but I don't really know how. What program did you use? My only criticism would be that the texture of the ground in the extreme foreground seems rather low resolution. But that prbably won't matter in the finished film. How old are you, by the way?
lol it probably is something wrong with it too.
i'm not a ferris wheel designer you know
the thing is, this pic was only a testrender for a movie i finished a long time ago and none of these details was going to show up very clearly anyway.
you wanted to know my age? i'm almost 20 by now.
made that scene about one year ago.
thanks for the feedback pal
